BJARNE CHRISTENSEN: POTTERS’ WAY OF DOING POTS

This workshop will focus on production pottery techniques. Participants will develop skills and learn how to produce a variety of forms including: teapots, cups, plates and bowls.

Bjarne will give guidance and expert tips and tricks that he has learned through his career as a professional production potter. He will be teaching traditional Danish forms, working in a High Fire stoneware clay.

By the end of this course, you will have practiced repeat forms, learnt how to produce a series of traditional wares and develope efficient methods for repeat throwing.

Meals and Drinks:
Guldagergaard will be offering lunch during the workshop (please let us know on the application form, if you have any dietary restrictions or special requests).

Participants are otherwise responsible for providing their own meals. You are welcome to use the communal kitchen in the manor house. During the workshop, we will also provide coffee and tea.

Accommodation during the Workshop:
Unfortunately, it is not possible to stay at Guldagergaard. However, we refer you to Hotel Postgården or Kaptajnhuset.

Add on: Short-term Residency Option
Guldagergaard offers workshop participants the option to book a one or two-week residency before the workshop for an additional fee of 2500 DKK. This price includes access to studio facilities and accommodation for one week. It does not cover additional firings and materials.
