JOB OPENING: PRODUCTION POTTER – PART TIME
Guldagergaard is seeking a skilled and dedicated production potter to join our team 30 hours per week
This role focuses on producing our functional ware while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and efficiency in the studio.
The production potter will be responsible for all aspects of the process, including throwing, trimming, glazing, firing, and recycling clay, as well as troubleshooting any issues related to glaze, clay, and firing. They will oversee the programming and management of electric kilns, ensuring proper loading and unloading, and contribute to maintaining and improving the quality and consistency of production.
In addition to hands-on production work, the role includes keeping track of production progress and stock levels to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency. The production potter will also be responsible for the proper maintenance of the workspace, studio equipment, and production tools. They will work closely with and report to the Studio Manager, providing updates and ensuring seamless coordination within the studio.
We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated, and detail-oriented potter with strong technical skills and the ability to take initiative. The ideal candidate can work independently while also contributing to a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
A passion for ceramics and a drive to continuously improve production processes are essential.
This position requires a candidate who is willing and comfortable working and living in an international environment alongside people from different cultural backgrounds.
