NEW WINTER GRANT FOR YOUNG ARTISTS:

WORK STAY AT GULDAGERGAARD INTERNATIONAL CERAMIC RESEARCH CENTER

WINTER RESIDENCY AWARD PROGRAM FOR YOUNG ARTISTS

Aim of the Program is to create a working environment for young Danish ceramic artists – especially newly graduated ones, who are looking for studio space or need to be able to concentrate on a work or a project.

We understand that in these difficult times it is not easy to find an affordable location for artistic practice, especially when it is a beginning of one’s art journey.

Therefore, we have decided to establish a new extraordinary winter grant program for work stays for winter 2022/23: ‘Winter Residency Award Program For Young Artists’.

All graduates awarded with this program will receive access to studio and accommodation in shared rooms at greatly reduced rates for students and young graduates.

This award will not be a subject to the same conditions as Guldagergaard’s other recidencies.

WHAT TO
EXPECT?

The Program includes:

  • Discount for residencies from December 2022 to March 2023
  • Studio space
  • Accommodation in shared rooms (single room is available for additional 1000 DKK) with access to shared kitchen and bathrooms
  • Access to all Guldagergaard facilities (Studio, Glaze Room, Plaster Room, Kiln Yard, Libabry)
  • Technician’s support

You are responsible for:

  • Your own safety and respecting rules of the Studio and Manor House
  • Working independently on your own projects
  • Paying for your own materials and firings
  • Paying for your own travel expenses, meals, and other living expenses.

Guldagergaard International Research Center’s task is to work for the benefit of ceramics and knowledge about ceramics. A stay at Guldagergaard should be an enriching professional and social experience. It is therefore important that everyone is included in the group dynamics that are on site.

Time: December 2022 – March 2023

Deadline for application: ongoing

Program fee:

2500 DKK per month (incl tax)
