APPLICATION DETAILS
ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCES

Guldagergaard welcomes applications from professional artists, designers, craftspeople and students working with ceramics.

To apply, simply complete the application form below and make sure to read the instructions carefully before submitting.

Our Advisory Board reviews all submissions and selects residents based on their applications.

When to apply
We accept applications all year round, but we recommend applying around six months before your preferred residency period.

Choose your residency period
Residencies at Guldagergaard are organised in fixed periods (residency blocks) of approximately one month each. Please select the block or blocks you wish to apply for in the application form. If you would like a longer stay, you may select up to six consecutive blocks. This means you can apply for a residency of up to six months in total.

Residency periods in 2027
Block 1: 23 February – 24 March
Block 2: 30 March – 28 April
Block 3: 29 April – 28 May
Block 4: 31 May – 29 June
Block 5: 1 July – 30 July
Block 6: 2 August – 31 August
Block 7: 1 September – 30 September
Block 8: 1 October – 30 October

Partial blocks are generally not available, except for certain programmes, guest artists and workshop-based residencies.

Please note that the Christmas and New Year period falls outside the residency blocks. If your stay continues into the following year, an additional weekly fee will apply for this period.

Applications Procedure
Please use the application form and make sure you have the following things ready when filling out the form:
– Three images of current work (JPEG, max 1 MB per file)
– A Project Description (overview, max 1 page)
– A resume of experience (CV or link to online version)
– An application fee of DKK 150

Evaluation of the Application
The Guldagergaard Ceramic Advisory Board evaluates all applications. The main criterion used in judging the applications is the quality of the presented work and project decription. All applicants will receive an answer to their application shortly after evaluation.
