ACCOMMODATION
LIVING IN THE
MANOR HOUSE
Built in 1910 the manor house has been kept in it’s original traditional style with wood panels and decorations combined with contemporary Danish design, a few of the house’s original furniture and a wealth of donations and gifts from ceramic artists. Today, this is where the resident artists live and gather, and here is always full of life, talk, and enthusiasm.
Our aim is to provide living arrangements that enhance the creative process and contribute to a fulfilling residency experience.
During a residency, you live with up to 12 other artists and this is an intense experience that former resident artists say they wouldn’t have been without. You network with other artists and by the end of your residency, you will have expanded your professional network with colleagues from all over the world.
Residents can either stay in double or single bedrooms, which have all been thoroughly renovated within the last couple of years.

KITCHEN
The House Kitchen is equipped with essentials for preparing meals, alone or collectively: A large commercial stove, sink, refrigerators, and a working table for gathering & cooking together.
Meals
A big part of the experience at Guldagergaard is being part of a close-knit community, particularly through communal dinners. These meals not only provide an opportunity to share your experiences in ceramics but also in food, building deeper connections with fellow artists. It’s a chance to bond over both creativity and cuisine.
