KULTURPAS-WORKSHOP: LEARN TO THROW CLAY

Would you like to try throwing clay in a ceramics studio?
In this workshop, everyone has their own wheel, and we take it step by step – for example learning to throw mugs, small bowls or vases..

All our tutors are experienced and ready to help you get started at your own pace. They have worked professionally with ceramics for many years and know how to teach in a supportive way. That means you can join whether you’ve never tried it before or already have some experience with clay.

Write a few lines about whether you’re a complete beginner or have tried throwing before, and we’ll take it from there.

About the workshop

We’ll be working in the clay studios at Guldagergaard and welcome you to a workshop where you can get started using your hands at the wheel.

If you like, you can also join a short tour of the many different studios at Guldagergaard and see how professional ceramic artists from all over the world work – both indoors and outside, where much of the ceramic is fired in large kilns.

Who can take part?

Anyone with a ‘Kulturpas’ from the Ministry of Culture for young people aged 15–24.
You can use your ‘Kulturpas’ anywhere in Denmark – also if you live in a different municipality (‘kommune’) than ours.

Practical information

Wear practical clothes that can get dirty (we’ll provide aprons).

Price
200 DKK per participant with a Kulturpas
(including teaching, materials and firing)
